Research Vision
Our research team strives to understand the complex dynamics of our world (including engineered, natural, physical, biological, and social systems). We are currently studying human-robot teams, intelligent transportations systems, and robotic swarms, seeking to expand into the study of larger social systems. Dive into our research projects.
We seek to:
01
Create a general mathematical formalism for modeling, influencing, and decision-making at multiple scales in self-organizing multi-agent systems
02
Implement monitoring and estimation mechanisms for macroscopic-scale emergent states of self-organizing systems
03
Prepare tomorrow's engineers to tackle issues related to complex, interconnected systems
04
Communicate research and reflection-driven insights to a wide audience in an easy-to-comprehend form, and foster better understanding of the foundational mechanisms underlying complex systems science
